Victorian homes are so charming and have tons of character, but when the kitchen is the heart of the home and isn't functional, it's time to make some changes!
This kitchen is in a Victorian home in Downtown #Orangeville and you can tell that it was renovated at some point in time, but not for functionality. I helped my clients with changing the layout slightly to add more space and make more sense.
The peninsula was eliminated to open up the kitchen to a galley style, then centred the range and cabinets in that wall. The original cabinets were hung super low, so we had the new ones hung at a proper height and ordered the larger size for more storage. The pantry at the end was also eliminated and a longer countertop was added.
We went with all classic design elements as this is going to be a rental. White shaker style cabinets, white subway tile backsplash, tonal grey flooring and a slate grey quartz countertop. Very pleased with how this turned out and LUCKY tenants get to use a brand spanking new kitchen!!
